Excellent Customer Service and Warranty Service on Monarch 5 Binoculars

Posted by Eric on August 14, 2021

I can only add to the positive reviews of Nikon's warranty policy and customer service. We had a 6 year old pair that got beaten up on many bird watching expeditions, and we sent them to Nikon for repairs. Nikon promptly replaced them under the warranty at no charge. They're great binoculars and Nikon's warranty and customer service were terrific.

    Great customer service

I bought a used Monarch 5 8X42 binocular, and had questions
for C.S. The responses were quick, accurate, and helpful. They
even registered them for me. The Monarch 5 is a big jump in
quality from my other brand. The brightness is far better, and focusing is more precise. This is a great product.

Sent in a 12 year old pair of monarch 8x42s for the eyeglass to get replaced due to scratches. I was expecting to pay a little bit, but boy was in wrong! Sent me a brand new pair of monarchs at no charge! Couldn't be happier with nikon and their warranty support. Thank you nikon!!!

I contacted nikon and sent them in for repair thinking they were just gonna fix my pair and charge me, a couple weeks later nikon replaced my old pair with a new pair of monarch 5's . I couldn't be happier . I won't buy anything but nikon

    Crazy Value at $250!

Posted by GenoJ on September 4, 2015

I read great things about the Monarch 5's and when the 8X42's went on sale for $250 I ordered them right away. Great optics, bright (the ED glass and full multi-coatings are awesome!) and great balance. First pair with roof prisms. What was I thinking? I would recommend these very highly.

    Excellent binoculars, outstanding warranty

Posted by NYBirder on July 16, 2015

My original Monarchs, bought about ten years ago, have been perfect for birding. Great optics, great handling. Then they broke (eyepiece fell out), and I contacted Nikon about repair. The 25 year warranty was still good! I mailed them in, as instructed, and Nikon actually replaced them with these binoculars. These binoculars are even better than the ones that were replaced. Not only are the binoculars great, so is the warranty and customer service. Highest praise to Nikon for standing behind their product!

    Outstanding

I purchased these binoculars for an Alaskan Cruise based on extensive research. This was my first purchase of quality binoculars and I found them easy to use, lightweight and the brightness was outstanding!

    Great Improvement

Posted by Riffo on December 28, 2013

I recently had my Monarch ATB replaced with this new Monarch, and I am happy to say this is a very solid improvement. No chromatic aberrations that plagued my original binoculars. Build quality also seems to be significantly improved as well. Bright viewing. Focus knob is a bit stiff-this may change with use. Kind of heavier than it seems-which testifies to a better build. Front lens covers also improved, however rear eyepiece covers are the original design that doesn't seem to work well at all. They just can't stay on. These are just small issues that should not prevent you at all from looking at these.
